Gospel Legacy: Ron Martin
This morning, one of the most Godly men many of us have had the privilege of knowing closed his eyes on this life and opened them to see the beautiful face of his wonderful Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.
As one of the original elders at Ramilies Road Chapel, Ron Martin took the brave and strong step of inviting a small team to walk alongside the congregation to see a gospel witness in the Penny Lane area of Liverpool revitalised.
Ron was a man of integrity, love and Christ-honouring masculinity. He exemplified to us all what it looked like to live, love, laugh, walk, putting aside preference to husband, father, lead and die in close communion with his Saviour and his people. A man who in his last days was sharing the gospel with people in the hospital, singing hymns, and quoting scriptures with a clarity and conviction that only a person with full assurance of their truths could do.
Ron will be greatly missed by many, not least the Cornerstone Church family and his dear children, Grandchildren and great Grandchildren, but he will be greatly honoured as he leaves a gospel legacy that will see many men, women, boys and girls won for Jesus for generations to come.
“We can cry with hope, we can say goodbye with hope, because we know our goodbye is not the end. We can grieve with hope, because we believe with hope there's a places where we’ll see your face, again."
